TO DIE FOR
© 2003 by Carl Tronco

You once said that you’d die for me
If only it were true
And in that moment of release
I could die with you
All fear all pride all intellect
All rules all tears all strife
The burden of security
The baggage that is life
Would fall away like summer rain
The azure sky discarded pain
Till only innocence and purity remain
The essence of a true love’s seed
A freedom that will never be
As long as we still breathe
